Hey guys. The weather is really starting to change around here, and it gets so foggy and awful around 6:30 (when I leave for school), so I bought a set of fog lights from autozone for like $30. It came with lights, a switch (with two male prongs) and wiring, but I bought a different switch that matches the blue on for my light bar. These switches have 3 prongs, so instead of wiring like the diagram it came with, I'm just going to use a relay and run it just like my KCs. Anyway, So as I'm working on it today, I take my dashboard off so I can remove that little plastic piece I'm going to mount the other switch to, right next to the other one. I don't know how or why, but when I disconnected the existing switch, I'll go to turn my light bar on, plug the switch back in, but nothing happens. I'm 98% sure the wires are all on their correct prongs, and I don't think I have any fuses blown.... ugh, it's just very frustrating. Anybody have any ideas on what I could have ****** up?

Anyway, here's a quick pic of the new fog lights. They're pretty cool; they came with covers, but they have stone guards.

Maybe when you connected them up at first you blew the bus fuse does the relay even turning over?

A test light is your friend here. Test the power source at the prong of the switch, then start testing before and after every connection between the switch and your source. Could have grounded the switch when unplugging

Well, I got it fixed today. It was a combination of issues; when I was ripping out the dash, I must've yanked a wire and ungrounded it. So that was simple, and it turns out I did blow a fuse. It was just very hard to see, because I was working on it at night. There was even a little black explosion mark where the fuse blew -_- Kinda feel like a dumbass, haha. Anyway, glad it's fixed.

On a much nicer note, I got the space for the other switch drilled out. I used I Dremel tool and a high-speed cutter attachment. When I mounted the switch, I decided to reverse them, so the colors match my thermostat control, haha. I think it turned out looking pretty nice though :) I've got about another hour left of work on these other lights, and I should be done!

P.S. That weird looking black thing in that little cubby area? That's my wallet. It's made out of stingray skin. Be jealous x)

yeah weas gonna say fuse. if the 2 wires touch it will blow the fuse. happnd to me when they were there. i found the switches tehre was kinda an annoying spot not that easy to get to lol. i like them in the overhead console. need to get the other matching rocker switches and console blank and it will look sweet. like the brush guard want to get one on mine and put some driving lights on it
