Fel Pro. Without a doubt. Do knock sensors while in there. Use AC Delco sensors and harnesses or Dorman harnesses. Use new fasteners, also. And remember, clean real good.

Intake Manifold Gasket

New fasteners...including bolts?

Question: How to keep the crud from going into the intake? tape? Stuff it with rags? Vacuum as you go?

Cleaning? Scrape with a straight razor blade?

When I do them at work I take a blow gun before I start working and blow all the crud to the way back. Helps a lot when you take manifold off.

So...If I use the FelPro gaskets and put in new knock sensors and EGR valve...that's about all that can be done?

Again...new bolts in this application?

no new bolt necessary. make sure grommets on bolts are ok. you can always do the valley pan gasket and oil pressure sensor while you're down there. but only if needed.

and, at least when i did it, theres 2 sets of felpros to choose from. get the more expensive one.

I forgot, yes do the oil pressure sender while in there and exposed. Is a PITA to do when all back together. I would do fasteners/bolts because they are torqued and stretched. You do what you want.

the intake bolts are not torque to yield. they have little rubber grommets on them that cushion when tightened. and the manifold is plastic. go ahead and torque those bolts till they stretch. youll be needing a new manifold.
