Long story short, have a 16 Denali with 20k miles since new with no buffeting / vibration issues. About 2 weeks ago I rammed a Qtip off my left eardrum in an overly aggressive hygiene move. Hurt like hell, but faded a in few hours. But the next 4 days of driving were torture, and only when driving. Otherwise my eardrum was fine. Mind you I'm sea level with no elevation changes in my daily commute.
It was similar to being in a plane with pressure issues during the descent. And would leave me groggy post my 1 hour commute each way. Took an hour or so to gather my marbles. Almost set an appt at the dealer but by the 5th day my eardrum must have fully healed and the buffeting went away. And have not had any issues since.
My assumption coming out of this is all our vehicles have it, but it's at a level that is not perceivable by the human body (except those unfortunate folks where it's beyond obvious). And wow do I have empathy for them fighting this issue as it took all the fun out of driving the rig. It sucked.
