Picked up an 04 Yukon Denali last summer. I'm trying to replace the sunroof switch. Can anyone tell me how in the hell that plastic piece that houses it and the rear climate controls comes off?

Also, is the headlamp switch supposed to be lighted up at night with all the rest of the dash lights?
Just wondering since I need to remove the cluster to replace some burned out bulbs. Figured I'd replace that bulb too if it's supposed to light up.

Any help is great! Thanks.

Around the headlamp dial yes. The dial for the brightness of dashlights would not be lit up. Very early nbs trucks had that lit up but would get too hot

They do get hot. In my 1999 Yuke, there is bulb that burned out and made some of the area around it melt. I went to Autozone yesterday and looked over a new headlight switch for the 04 and there is no provision for a bulb, which would mean if it does have one then it's internal and replaceable only as a whole unit.

As far as the rear climate controls, I know on my '02 Denali the rear ones just have spring tabs that pop out after it slides into the opening. I slid a couple thin putty knives on the top and bottom to disengage the tabs and it slid right out.
