What can I do about my Driver's side door speaker cover that is beginning to rust. The dealer told me if I wanted to replace it, I would have to replace the whole door panel. Then he said everybody paints them. Has anybody had this problem??:emotions122:

haven't had any problems with my speaker grill rusting(I do live in the bay area tho) you don't have to replace the entire door panel. just remove the 3 screws holding the door panel on lift up and remove the grill by lifting the tabs up from behind and pop it off.

speaker cover rusting

thanks for the reply, Chevy will not sell you individual speaker covers. What they want to do is sell you the whole door panel. I just need that speaker cover. They told me to paint it? Thanks again Rich

You could take it off, sand or media blast it to get the rust of and spray it whatever color you want. Dont know if you want to go that route

I had some puke stains on my covers so i just removed them and spray painted them flat black with some rust-o-leum. Ill see if i can get some pictures of it, makes the doors looks better.
