Should I do an 2002-2006 Escalade interior swap into my NBS 2000 GMC Yukon SLT

Hi everyone, I just had a (mild) brainstorm and it occurred to me that my interior is starting to show wear in some of the regular places. Currently I have a NBS Yukon SLT that came with most, if not all, interior options. I figure I'll have to recover my seats in the next year or two and I was browsing craigslist and saw a lot of Escalade seats for sale. That really got the wheels turning. I know the seats will bolt in easily. I assume the door panels are a straight swap too. The only thing I'm not sure about is the dash and center console. I think those are probably easy enough to swap, well as easy as a dash swap can be anyway. My biggest concern is really all the woodgrain trim on those panels as it can look crappy after a few years.

All this to say that I think it would be kinda neat to have a Yukon with an Escalade interior. What do you guys think about the way it could look? I'm not getting rid of my truck so everyone that says I should just get an Escalade, I'm sure it would be the cheaper and easier route but I just don't care for the look of the exterior on the 02-06s and I really like mine, hehe.

More than the woodgrain, I'd be concerned with how to get 4 matching door panels and all matching seats and the rest of the interior to match. I highly doubt you can get all the parts from the same truck. Sounds like a extended 'work in progress'. Anyhow, if you got the guts to do it, I say go for it!

Thanks for the feedback guys. I'd like to make sure I cover everything before I end up with a goofy looking half-n-half truck.

I'm keeping the truck for another 10-15yrs at least. I have other cars to drive and as long as I maintain this one, it has value to me as a usable vehicle and toy hauler.

I'll keep my eyes peeled for a wrecked truck with most/all interior pieces and if something comes up when I'm ready, I'll make a move on it.

just remember 70% of those esky parts you find on craigslist is STOLEN. IF you like to support theives, go for it. I for one will NEVER buy new car parts from CL.

Would rather spend triple from a web based store or from local shop than give money to a GD Theif!

Anyways, just wanted ya realize that CL is bad place..

Thanks for the heads up. I figure if I'm going to find what I really want I'll have to put some local junkyards on alert and keep trying places like LKQ.

Found front/rear 02 denali door panels for 500 + shipping. I gave them a hard look but I prefer the escalade ones. The seats are harder to find oddly enough. Haven't found a dash or the other interior plastics yet but I'm still looking.
