I recently acquired a 2016 Yukon Denali. I've realized that the cruise control is only working intermittently - sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't. There doesn't seem to be any pattern to when it works or doesn't. It displays a message on the dash indicating that the ACC is unavailable. Once or twice it also mentioned the forward collision system also being unavailable.

I also noticed that (when it's working) the ACC does not maintain pace with vehicles in front, it operates like a non-adaptive cruise control and maintains a constant speed (and will definitely get too close to vehicles in front for comfort!)

I've seen some other posts mention aftermarket lights potentially causing issues with the ACC system, but this vehicle is all stock. I'm looking for advice in troubleshooting this issue(s). Does anyone have experience with something similar?

Update to this inquiry:
I've uncovered that there was an undisclosed incident involving the front bumper area. This prior collision bent the radar sensor bracket and the sensor was loose, which is undoubtedly causing the cruise control errors. I'm in the process of getting damaged parts replaced/straightened out. But, does anyone know if the sensor will need to be recalibrated once things are back in place? (and, if so, is there a diy procedure to do so?)
