dropped in a professionally rebuilt premium long block (5.7) in my 00 hoe, after my old one slung a rod. (intake gasket). still has intermittent misfire, around 250 miles developed an external leak. pulled the intake, re-installed with the right stuff sealant. no more external leak, but i'm still losing coolant. changed the oil @ 300 miles, still looked new. temp fine, thermostat opens right at 165 degrees, new water pump and radiator before the swap. checked the intake with a straight edge, nice and flat. what gives? not throwing any codes.
