iPad Install

Want to get iPad nstalled in truck. Any ideas on a interface unit that I can use that wil allow me to still utilize my steeringwheel controls. Also I am located in Michigan, if anyone has a idea of a good instal company let me know.

I would assume you would need a deck with ipod interface and ability to control steering wheel controls.

if you have the denali with the 6 disc changer you wont be able to use an integration unit unless you want to forfeit the cd changer as they will utilize the same input circuit. with a pac/peripheral unit you are able to manipulate song up/down playlist selection through the steering wheel controls on most vehicles. i would check the USA SPEC website and check for the vehicle part. they typically have pretty extensive details available on their products however most products are only programmed to operate iphone4/ipods.

also extreme car audio in grand rapids put a 9k system in my yukon and nailed it. they are located near the air port in grand rapids, MI

I would assume that if the system works with itouch or iphone it would work with ipad but then again I use droid so it is never compatible

If u get the iPad installed post some pics. I've seen a guy in ny fab the entire dash of a t-Rex and have it working. Good luck with it

I am running an Android tablet as my source unit. I used an indash equalizer since it has volume control knob and 5 volt pre-outs. I dont have steering wheel controls in the first place but thats how i avoided wasting money on a head unit. Iheartradio and Pandora handle most of my music needs along with 96 gb of sd cards and internal storage. A little of your topic but one way to do it.
