iPhone11 freezes with rear entertainment

I bought a 2023 Tahoe with the rear media entertainment. When I plug my iPhone into the lightning adapter then the hdmi cord my iPhone freezes. If I unplug the phone the video will play but as soon as I plug it in the phone freezes. Any help would be greatly appreciated I don’t want to have to use onstar WiFi when I have unlimited on my phone.
