So I took my hoe in to get the dash replaced, program the tilt and shock sensors (I already installed them), and program the 2-way advanced remote (I already installed it as well). 5 days after I take it in, they tell me its ready, but now my navigation does not work, so I tell them to reprogram it and I headed up to the dealership.

My navigation is from a 2010 and I put it in my 2008 Tahoe...the dealership explains to me this will not work with the new remote. I tell them that makes no sense because the navigation was working before. They stick to there answer and tell me there is no way it will work, that I have to put a 2008 navigation in there for it to work...IS THAT BS OR TRUTH?????

So I left the dealership after spending to much for there hourly pay, having no radio, and then tested the sensors out when I got home (which I should have done at the dealership), the sensors do not work, I have adjusted the sensitivity all over the place and no matter what i cant get it the alarm to go off...WTF is there a 1 minute delay or something before the sensors are activated after the alarm is set?

:shocked::emotions122:

holy crap... i highly doubt the two are interlinked. Some folks don't even have NAV and have those remotes. If that was the case, they would have told you that from the get-go.

Ryan, I'll forward this to my hook at GM. He is pretty savvy with this stuff. Seems like they reflashed your BCM and didnt update the NAV, i dunno?

Yeah Ryan that is definitely the most ********* I have heard. What Dallas dealership said this?
Worst case scenario you take it out and get an aftermarket unit. They look sleeker, work better, and cost less $$$.
I'm thinking they re flashed it or changed something with the Nav programming and are just too lazy to fix it.

Ok....so I guess I made a big stink about it too soon....Last night I messed with the sensors a little more, found out they had them turned all the way down. I adjusted the knob and what do you know, they performed like they should.
Now with the nav, I must have a little gremlin in there, because yesterday it would not work at all, it just stayed off, well today when I left for work I tried to power the nav again and it freaking came on. So I dont understand that, but hey it works now so I dont care lol...
Thank you guys for trying to help with my odd problems.

Modded the dealership was Stonebriar Chevrolet, I dont think I will go back to them for any mods...the only reason I went there is because they were the only dealership I could find that would do a dash replacement for free...good work with the dash, but they are clueless with programming

Ok. Maybe next time you can try Huffines, James Wood, or Classic Chevy.
Also, maybe your power harness for the navigation is loose. That's the only thing I can think of that will cause functioning sometimes and not others.
