Okay guys, here is my problem, every time I put my tahoe on drive and my A/C is on 1 or 2, I hear like a clicking sound.... It does not do it when its on reverse or neutral or on park??? Only when its on drive and im on a complete stop..... Can anyone tell me if they had this issue before..... I took it in to the dealer and they told me they replaced the actuator because that was causing the clicking noise.... Has anyone of you experience this before? If so what was the issue? Thanks in advance.....

So, is it still making the sound or was it fixed?

I have been having some ac issues different than that but the dealer is correct, the clicking sound is from an actuator. There are 3 in the front dash that control, hot cold, air direction, and outside air.

The other simple fix would be to check the blower motor and blower resistor.

They are both easy to get to under the passenger side of the dash. Look for video's on youtube.

You can pull the blower motor out and see if it spins with out issue. You can get a new one from amazon for $70 or $80. The resistor is right by the blower motor and is held in by 2 small bolts. They are only $40 or so from the dealer and tend to control the blower speed. If your ac only works on certain speeds then it could be the resistor. The resistor will not make any clicking sound but will effect the blower motor. I was just taking a guess at your issue but the car being in drive would not effect my suggestions, they would be an issue as soon as you turned your ac on.

I dont know about it only doing it in drive like you said but they are common and easy fixes you can try yourself. If that is not the problem then you will have to take it back to the dealer.

It might be another actuator, as I said above they have 3 of them.
