We have had weird issue with my 2004 tahoe. Usually, i hit the lock button on keyfob and it locks all doors. Hit it a second time, and it sets alarm and truck honks to confirm.

Every once in a while (now more increasingly), When I hit the lock button the first time, it immediately honks the horn to seemingly arm alarm, while locking doors at same time. I am not sure why it does this.

I also noticed that sometimes, after locking/arming, the lights stay on longer before shutting off.

Anyone had a similar issue?

Tks.

Looks like we are the only ones.
Have you tried to resync the key fob?

I have not... I should try my other key as well. It could possibly be button issue if it thinks i hit it twice (bad contact point inside remote). I could try cleaning remote as well. i just thought it would be more serious issue.

I'm having the same issue as well.... I think it's related to lie batteries in the fob. Mine has been going on since the beginning of this year
