Issues w/ 4wd

Last night I switched the truck to 4lo to get out of some snow and I can't get it to change back to any other settings. When I press 4hi, 2hi or auto 4wd the light just flashes and but nothing changes. The truck seems to be having trouble switching gears from 1st to second as well, it seems to jump into second gear and pulls pretty good when it does. Any ideas?

Put the truck on a level surface with wheels straight. Put the transmission in neutral before hitting the 2wd and it should clunk back into gear. If not have the fluid level checked. You could be low on transfer case fluid.

Thats ok I have a 2004 and thats what i had to do.
