Doing 35 down the left lane of a 4 lane road (two lanes either direction with a middle turning lane), I was coming up to an intersection. Light to go straight was green, but the left turn light was red. A car was stopped behind a bus in the left turn lane, and decided to merge about 30 feet ahead of me, they didn't even get straightened out. I hit their passenger's rear door and spun their car sideways.

No injuries, no frame damage. Truck starts and runs fine, but can't turn the wheels without hitting the bumper and the driver's fender is pushed back a lot. Just working with insurance now.

:bawl:

Here's the only pic that I got to come out right with my phone. The front door had some small dents in it, but she was looking for her information when I took the pic, so I just got the worst of the damage. That door and window won't be moving anytime soon.

Thanks guys, I was just kind of frustrated since it had only been 3 weeks or so since the Whipple, and I had finally got it looking the way I wanted. I don't think they'll total it, but it'll be quite a bit. Just depends if the body shop orders OEM parts, or if they will use clean parts from junkyards. I am going to ask if they would let me pull a fender, there's a couple clean 400's being parted out on CL I could use.

The only thing I'm worried about is the hood, it got a decent size crack on that driver's corner. I don't know how well the body shop will be able to repair that. It didn't break off, it just pushed that corner back and cracked it a little.

They won't repair the hood. They'll just replace it and it'll probably be cheaper for you if they do replace it. A custom hood like that, though, they'll probably ask you to locate the new one for them because the majority of body shops know nothing about getting custom parts unless you take it to a custom shop for the repairs.
