As always whenever we get wet weather our 2015 Yukon won’t start. The dash goes funky, all the warning lights, multiple service issues on screen like
-service airbag
-service trailer brake
-service steering column lock
-service front camera (doesn’t even have one)

Sometimes dash will go black like dead battery, won’t roll over at all then dash will go funky. Weirdest of all it will start off factory remote start on fob. I managed to get the scan tool on it and this is everything it gave me

Service steering column lock
Service airbag
Service front camera

This has been a major pain in the hole, I’ve seen many other write ups with similar problems but I’m yet to come across a fix, has anyone managed to find a fix to this extremely frustrating problem. Any help would be appreciated, doing everything I can to avoid a trip to hells gate (local dealership).

Thanks

So, next time its dry for a few days and the truck is dry and acting ‘normal’ park it in the sane spot your issue happens when it rains then bust out your garden hose and try to wet down the truck 1 section at a time. Do the passenger side roof, windshield, hood and fender…. See if it starts, driver side …. Etc etc. but wait a day or two so that the trucks acts ‘normal’ and then do the other side.
my guess is you are getting water in the cabin under the dash or somewhere or under the hood to the fuseblock.

I’ll absolutely try that, I’ve already went down that road a bit, had shark fin off and made sure it was sealed up good, I had one guy talk about wiring issues under dash pad next to windshield so I removed it and no water or issues in there. But I’ll gladly try it out, gotta figure something out. Thanks for the ideas, I appreciate it.

It starting normally with the Key FOB throws a wrench in all my suggestions.
I’ll gladly take all suggestions, I went this morning and tried it and no go again. Key fob wouldn’t work either this time so it’s just dead in the driveway.

May not be related to your situation but I'll relate this experience a coworker had.

His 1990's Mercury Marquise would not start when damp outside. Someone suggested we spray down every electrical connection and ignition related wires with WD40. We did that and it started right up. Back then it was easy, just replace all the ignition parts and solved problem. Nowadays, any wire can be the culprit.

WD40 = Water Displacement formula #40

I'd start with a good cleaning of all of your ground points in and near the engine bay and BCM. After that, I would suspect the BCM or at least its connections. The WD40 on the BCM main connector is a good idea to try. Given that the behavior is different when using the key fob, I would trace the wiring from the start button to the fuse block and BCM as well.
