I just scored some new Bermuda Blue door handles for my Hoe. :hands: I have been kicking around the idea of Jimmie Jammers.

Has anyone actually stopped a thief from breaking in with these things? They make since on paper, but in theory if a thief tries to punch the lock out of your door, or sticks a screw driver under the handle and the Jimmie Jammer stops them, aren't they just going to smash your window leaving you with not only a damaged door/ handle, but a smashed window? :emotions122:

What is everyone else's opinion? If i am going to order them, I would do it when installing my new handles.

Thanks!

you want a simple but no so cheap solution... buy the all aluminum door handle kits, two so you have an extra set so you have 2 drivers rear door handles and just put the extra one on the front so it doesnt have a hole at all. Course if your remote fails, you will be breaking your own window to get in. I really contemplated doing this after someone tried to steal my old 2005 ESV from my driveway one night.

I suppose you could do the same with OEM handles too actually since the main advantage is not using the front lock mechanism at all which has one benefit of not being there so you cant jimmy the door with the lock/unlock rod and the second being on something like my old ESV that had the interior protection part of the keyless that honks the horn whenever anydoor is opened once locked by the fob, since it cant be disarmed by the same lock/unlock rod which also operates a switch in the lock mechanism itself.

I always thought how silly and useless a feature the GM alarm on the ESV was considering it was so easily defeated on a freakin $64000 vehicle on the top of the most stolen list.
