You've reminded me that I need to deal with reconnecting my driver-side defroster tab. :(

Take thin solder and wrap it around the Tab 6 or 7 times(depending on thickness) put the glass up. Clamp a small pair of vice grips to the connector part of the tab. put a wet towel on the top side of the window. Put tab to where it used to be and use a small fine point propane torch on it. It should suck the solder in within a few seconds, 5 maybe 10 seconds. Let it sit with the vice grips on for a few minutes to make sure it's secure. Pull the wire and wrap it around the base of the shock to stretch it out. Let it stay there for a little. They pull off due to the constant pressure from the coiled wire keeping tension on it. Stretch out both so it doesn't do the same to the other side. This only works as long as there is something to solder to and it didn't pull to much off or take the glass with it. How does the surface look where it used to be mounted
