Engine oil I will use the Mobil 1 High Mileage full sync, I have some ideas on the rest but would like to here more on the following:

  • Transmission Fluid
  • Transfer-case oil and weight recommended
  • Rear-end oil and weight recommended

Any I missed ??

Also I have some new Maint parts to anyone who wants them ... FREE just pay my shipping to you UPS Ground they are for my old 2004 Yukon XL 4x4 SLT. the parts include the following, all at the same time :)

Check what the owners manual recommends and stick with that or upgrade to a brand you desire.

Our 6L90 trans uses Dexron VI (as does the tcase). 75w-90 in both diff's. I use Amsoil Severe Gear for diff fluid.

Welcome aboard!

Did you download the My GMC app?

I followed a guys advice on youtube replaced my trans fluid with Royal Purple. Can't say I would do it again. It does NOT say Dexron VI on it, though the advice was, its just better. Not sure of that. I got a shudder when shifting through gears as if my torque converter was having issues. Have since replaced with Castrol Max synthetic Dex VI and no issues since.

75W-90 Synthetic for both differentials and Dex VI in the trans and transfer case. The splines on the shafts call for synthetic grease as well, 12345879.

Do you know all the gross weights for the truck and the GCWR? Did it come with 16 or 17 inch wheels with LR E tires?
