I still have a ways to go on my current air filter, but want keep the stock air box and put in a rechargeable K&N Air filter. Do they offer a good airflow boost and give better gas mileage?

I run the whole kit. I like it. I have a Volant too which other than a few little tweaks I like also.

I could look into it, i just can't have something that offers a big power boost, due to my motor being old and with 241,059 miles on it. Correct me if i'm wrong but I've heard big power boost's harm old engines.

an intake is far from a big power boost. just helps it breath a little better.

oh yea and when you get on it like on the highway you can hear it scream and if you already have exhaust you may have lead foot syndrome.

Unless you run your 240,000 mile engine hard, you will never notice the difference, in power or mileage on a stock 350. Get a filter from WalMart. Nothing against K&N, but it doesent look like it will help you.
