keyless entry will not go into program mode

Hey guys, I have a 2003 yukon with factory keyless entry, I bought it about 2 years ago with a viper alarm system that has a mind of its own so i have removed all fuses from the alarm to deactivate it, ordered oem fobs and now well programming it the door cycles lock/unlock before I release the unlock button and wont go into program mode? any advice or past experiences? thanks so much. Also I will be completely removing all wiring and anything that was added with the alarm in the near future. thanks

In the older GM's you could put a paper clip into #4 and #8 pin on the OBD plug under dash and get to the Program transmitter not sure if it will work on the 03's
