Keyless Remote

I've wondered why do our keys for 2000-to 2006 Have a remote and a key.. Why can't we have a cool Remote with the key.. Like the Chargers, or Jettas.. or do we have one and I just dont know about it..

same reason every other maker in the same era had seperate keys and fobs. because the trend to an all in one unit wasnt as strong as it is now. look on ebay for one. theres lots of aftermarket options out there now that use the guts of your remote into an all in one unit.

is there?? i've searched for these before i thought for sure they should be out there but never been able to find one.

looks like everything but ours haha. oh well they are goofy anyway...the aftermarket cheaply made ones anyway. a fob and key isnt really that hard to carry.
