Knock sensor

Question I have a 2001 yukon xl 1500 4x4 5.3 and have a code that says bank 2 knock sensor has low voltage ? O I need to change just the wiring harness or change everything ? Engine has 313289 miles on it also has anyone had any luck with off brands of knock sensors ? Or should I stick with AC Delcos ? Thanks Doug

it is recomended when doing knock sensors to replace both sensors and harness with oem.
beware of where you purchase the sensors because there are knockoff's all over the internet
best to purchase from a dealer or well known retailer/auto parts store.
when installing the new sensors apply silicone around the top cover to help prevent water saturation causing rust.
I personally also recomend using fel-pro metalized intake gaskets when doing the sensors.
it's a fairly easy straight forward job if done properly

I have a 2001 Yukon XL with 168,000 miles. Engine runs great. I had a MIL Light come on and it was KS 1 1nd 2 Failure, Lo signal. A Lo signal to me means that there is no KS input to the ECM. Also after clearing the code I drive it for a while and everything is fine. I have noticed when I hit a real rough patch on the road the light comes back on. To me this seems to indicate an open circuit on both sensors at the same time. I can not see both sensors going open at once. So, I think this indicates a harness problem. Any thoughts other than shotgunning new parts_

Can you intentionally replicate this symptom by wiggling / playing with / annoying that wiring harness yourself?
If you can, it's more likely the wires than the sensors themselves.
