I have a 99' Yukon that pulls to the right. Sometimes worse than others. Does this at all times; worse on decel and even worse when braking. I have taken apart brakes on both sides and all is well. Seen pads collapse and return with ease. Bearings looked good. Pulled wheels top/down and left/right, no slack. Looked under the truck while I had someone turn the wheel back and forth many times; all looked normal. Idler and pitman arm had stayed level. Tires are inflated properly and have worn evenly. No vibrations at any speeds; ride is very smooth.

What else do I need to check? Any other tests I can perform to narrow this down to the culprit?

Also, while we are here, anyone know of a conversion from air bag suspension? Thing is like riding on a trampoline every time I hit a small bump (In Florida, that is everywhere).

* Correction, driver side tire was extremely worn on the inside. Im talking wire showing; while the rest of the tire had good tread.

Try lifting each front tire with a jack. then try to spin the tire with with ur hand. it should spin freely. Mine was pulling to the right pretty bad. I did this to find that the passenger caliper was frozen closed.

I did this too, forgot to mention it. Like I said, brake pads apply and release without issue.

I do have a correction to the above. It does pull to the left too, not so much though. Just here and there for a second or two. Also, when I brake with low to mid pressure, it does indeed pull harder. But when I brake harder it seems to actually straighten out (drive straighter).

Some of it is deffinate uneven braking. How could I resolve this? Think regreasing everything would help? Alignment?

im thinking your alignment is off , hit any good potholes latley? when did this issue start?

also check your left brake caliper to make sure it is not stuck open when brakes are applied (didnt know if you checked both)

You know, I dont actually remember checking the driver side. Why do you say left? Is the issue opposite of the pull?

As for pot holes, well, all I can say is Florida roads are horrible. But nothing more than usual, and the truck has done this Ive owned it.

sticky calipers are the results of binding guide pins and bushing. take them at and clean or just put new ones in.

Do we believe this is a result of sticky calipers? I know the pins; but what bushings? Im pretty sure I cleaned them all, but Ill pull and clean again.

Any thoughts on this maybe being rotors or would it not be this bad?

Im a bit strapped at the moment so I gotta be sure if I invest into an alignment.

unknown at this time.
the pins goes thru the bushings which go thru the caliper. if the get under braking one pad can drag and possibly shift vehicles direction.

Have it all apart now, it all looks good. Caliper does not stick at all.

But I did notice the tire on the driver side is worn past the tread on the inside; does this make it a definite alignment issue?

Given the tire wear pattern you describe, I would definitely get the alignment checked.
