I am leaking coolant from the surge tank at the bottom from what appears to be an overflow/over pressure type hole?

I noticed some small drops of coolant on the floor of the garage. I went to add coolant to the tank and when I took the cap off coolant leaked from the bottom of the tank. The engine was cold.

I replaced the cap thinking that was it. When I started the truck the next day coolant came out the bottom again but this time it was a lot. It then stopped.

The tank has never been empty and only took about half a quart to fill. The truck as never overheated and the temp stays solid at 210.

Is it possible the tank is bad?

Thanks

Tanks are plastic... Our gen trucks are getting old...
Just get a new tank.. They fail (on many vehicles) all the time

Thank you for your answer.
Im just wondering why my Reservoir is just two inch under the fill line. When i top this little amount of coolant to the fill line it will leak out on this hole/overflow hole.

It's a surge tank, sealed and under pressure with the cooling system. There shouldn't be any open holes.

Pic of said hole?
