Just today for no reason, my jug starts leaking. Has anyone replaced or repaired theirs? Looks like a biotch to get out.

my suburban leaked its not that hard just take your time. one of my little pump motors broke and it leaked the entire fluid in 30 sec. but it could also be a rubber seal. i just put a shit load of epoxy and then silicone i had laying around.

Im going to guess your rear washer pump has rotted out and it is now causing the leak. They are $300 new, and i didn't buy a new one when mine shit out> I simply siliconed the hole and screwed a bolt into it instead. for $300 ill simply wash the damn back window at the gas station by hand. You have to remove the battery to get at the bolts, and it drops out through the bottom. Its not as hard as it looks, just akward.

Mine leaked along the seam above one of the pumps. Used "mighty putty"- as seen on TV by Billie Mays (RIP). Actually worked! At least for the past 3 months...we'll see about the winter.

Thanks for the info guys. I had just used the rear washer before noticing that I had a leak. I can hear the motor but its louder than it should be. I'm hoping maybe just a hose came loose. I really ain't worried about it except its leaking alot and I keep getting the "'low fluid" message.

I just replaced mine.. Look up the part number on Advance Auto Online and make sure you get the right one (The plugs are different sizes).. They are somewhere around $20-$40 and easy to change, just take the bolts out and drop the jug down a bit and access it from under the front bumper.
Only reason I changed mine was because I couldn't stand the Low Washer Fluid warning every time I started it. Then I drove around for 4 days before buying fluid tonight.. haha

I thought I had the same problem but the hose ended up coming undone, check under there really good before you buy a new resevoir!! Fill it up with some water and check out there the leak is coming from!

Actually the washer pump is only about $17 from Advance Auto Parts. I think the $300 you were quoted was for the rear wiper motor. When I called about it I made the same mistake by calling it a motor and the quote was $225.

It is pretty easy to replace, but if it is leaking you better check and make sure your battery isn't leaking because that is usually what causes a leak in the jug.
