Interior of my 99 LT is absolutely mint....not a single scratch, mark, hole, etc....except for the drivers seat. The left outer bolster is worn from the original (short) driver getting in/out for 10 years.

What are the chances of finding an OEM leather seat bottom cover to replace it? Any sources?

Aftermarket leather cover manufacturers like on ebay.....any feedback on quality and color matching (Gray leather)?

Any other options to get that seat minted out that I'm not aware of?

A quality upholstery shop will replace the seat bolster section you refered to for roughly $100.00 and match it perfectly. Thats what I did and it looked factory.

First post ever here, but I've been lurking a bit.

I bought a set of the bottoms on ebay. They are excellent. I'd never done anything like seat covers before, but they turned out perfect. I can't give a higher reccomendation.

Exact same thing happened to me. I went to a local auto trim shop and he charged me $35 to replace that whole section of leather with a new piece of leather. It's pretty darn close in matching (I have a 2-tone seat) but most people wouldn't notice unless you pointed it out. After a bit of wearing in, it might look even closer. I'm very happy with how it turned out.

Note that I did take the leather off the bottom cushion before taking it in. It really is easy and you can do it under an hour. You can replace the hog rings you took out with good quality zip ties.

Worth every penny of $35 and a couple hours of my life.

Proud Z71 owner. I'll take a pic of it and post it. It's not exact but it looks good.

I have another thread on here where I'm working on fixing the heated seat on my drivers seat. I found a way to test the back element if it works which would point the problem (that most people have) at the bottom cushion element. I think I can bypass that.

I noticed that when I was installing my leather I had a date "stamp" on the seat of my leather! It pulled it off a container of antifreeze! NOOOOO!!!!!
I think I can get it to come off but it may take a small bit of time having my butt wear it off the old fashioned way.

I'm heading out to take some trash out so I might as well go take a pic and post it.
Okay here are the 2 pics. The panel that was replaced is the usual edge just above the side switches on top. All in all it looks real good.

I realize as you say it is not exact but mine is in the same shape and
I plan to do the same thing. Perhaps I may do both sides of the seat
bottom but still it is a great repair and cost effective.
