Anyone try any LED headlights such as the OPT7, or the VLED LMZ's? I would like to upgrade to either these, or HID...just wondering if anyone has any experience

It looks like the dust caps make the LED kits a no-go, unless you're ready to modify the caps. My XL is leased, so I upgraded the bulbs, but that'll be as far as I go...

I have the Opt7 55w 5000k hid kit and it works great, comes with capacitors for DRLs. The only thing with the kit is that you would have to modify the seal cap to have cables run through.

You gotta Mod the Caps for HID's too, doesn't make it a no-go, just gotta Drill a small Hole.

I used a 1in spade bit to drill the hole so that way I could fit the rubber grommets that came with the hid kit. And to ensure that it is completely sealed, I used a generous amount of silicone sealant.

Led

Just installed leds in headlamps, fogs and license lamp. For the headlamp the cover is slightly askew on the bottom side of the headlamp so I could run the wire out for the box. Going to order new covers an mod them in the shop for a seamless fit. But only upon close inspection could you tell the wire is out from the bottom now

Can you post up some Output shots of the Low Beams, against a wall, from about 20-30ft back?
