Maybe another item to check would be the brake hardware.
I just figured out a pesky grinding noise on mine that was driving me nuts. Turned out that there was rust on the caliper bracket in the slot where the pad retainers sit. They weren't able to seat in the slot fully and creating drag on the pads.
Last weekend I pulled the caliper pins and re-grease them but that actually made the noise worse. This morning I pulled the calipers again and noticed that the pads were stuck, I actually had to tap them out with the butt of a hammer. I ended up taking a file to the grooves where the retainer clips sit, removing all the rust, and a wire brush to the pad clips themselves. They now sit fully in the slots on the caliper bracket, moving freely.
No more squeal after a day of driving in stop and go Saturday traffic.
