this has probably already been asked on here but since i'm new to the board i'll ask away and take the ribbing that follows..
Just bought some new wheels (Ballistic Off Road Hostel 17X9) and I plan on buying something in a 285/70-17. Some of the web sights i have been to say i'll need a leveling kit. So i have been researching kits and now i'm really confused on what i should get. I have found Coil spacers, Torsion bar keys, Torsion bar key and shock bracket and the last had Keys shock brackets and 4 new shocks. I just want to raise the front end enough that i dont have any trouble with rubbing. Will the stock torsion key get me what i need? If not what kit do you all suggest?

I believe you need Ford Keys or lift keys to raise the front end. I'm a lowered guy so my knowledge is limited. This should get you started until someone else pops in :Handshake:

oh and :welcome:

I ran the 285/70/17 Dick Cepek FC-II's last year and all I did was crank the front keys.
But I bought 3" ready lift keys and 1 1/2 rear coil spacers for the height but never used them.
I took everything off now sitting in the garage LOL

I dont think youll fit them with stock keys but it wouldnt hurt to try. If not, pick up the rough country kit. Comes with keys and shocks for a great prices

Thanks for the info, I take it the Ford keys are Just a cheaper alternative than buying 2-3" set of GMC Keys?
