lift or lower?

hey everybody. new here. I have a 2000 obs Tahoe with 22s smoked lights and all trim blacked out. been contemplating lifting/lowering for a while and leaning more toward lower. Whats it cost and how low can I go with my 305/45/r22 tires. also whats involved with installing airbag suspension? any input would be much appreciated. also let me know what you think of my truck. thanks

Sexy truck homie! You will def get various answers to your lift/lower question. I'd sway drop it. Static drop is sexy and bags are fun. How low or high you want to go? 4wd or 2wd?

Given that your vehicle looks like a 2000 Limited, I'd guess you're 2wd (based on the wheel pattern)...
Given your 305/45/22 wheel tire combo, you're sitting right at 33" of total diameter...

I don't know your driving conditions or style, but you can possibly go a little lower (maybe 2-3" - 33" is a lot of tire to stuff), but you'll likely run into rubbing and compression issues if you keep the same wheel/tire setup. If you change the wheel backspacing/offset, you might be able to go even lower. The Limited came with a 2" lowered stance from the factory compared to the "standard" Tahoe.

@slipping @tigereyez3 its a 4wd id like to lower about 2-3 inchea but still want to clear the 305 45s. Will i have rubbing issues? And with bags can i adjust the height? Ie lower when parked or higher when riding? Thanks for the input

You should be able to lower the ride height an inch (possibly two or even three based on the amount of wheel well space you seem to have) without rubbing, assuming your wheel offset/backspacing is correct. At minimum, you'll want to roll your fender lips.

Bags will allow you to adjust the height...both while rolling and parked. You can air out (deflate) the bags when parked for max lowering. You can inflate them to achieve the desired height for driving based on the amount of pressure supplied. You'll need to use a panhard bar and some sort of link (3-, 4-, watts) setup to handle the varying height as well as provide location/stability.

Dont know whats involved in bagging 4wd but will only go down so far with current wheels but can get accuairs elevel. When laid down
Can sit just above your tires then hit the ride height button and come back up nice.

I appriciate I do but I see some WAY better builds then mine, I don't have the money to really make mine on top . lol . Its taken like 4 years to get it where its at

Nice ride...since you are running a 305 tire you are going to rub up and down. I would start de-cranking the T-bars and go from there. I have shackles in the rear with no rubbing issues but I run a 305/40/22 in the rear and a 265/40/22 and I disabled my 4wd system.

Your truck is set up for low life so lower it. Keep up the clean good work. Honestly....look for set of shackles on here or go to Pep boys and get some for the rear. Start decranking the front t bars to desired height take your ass for a front end alignment.
