Lifter confusion ( PLEASE HELP)

OK I'm doing a afm lifter replacement and my problem is that I'm not sure which way to position the oil holes on the non afm lifters. The internet says front or back but my block only has a port on the bottom of the lifter seats. Can someone save me before I go against everything I stand for and buy a dodge. I'm pretty sure that the Bible is against that too lol
