My Mom has a 2000 Gmc Yukon XL 2500 6.0 that has always had a little bit of a lifter tick when it was cold. For the last 120,000 miles I have changed the oil using mobil 1 high mileage oil and a regular fram filter. However I had been hearing some bad things about Fram so I switched to Wix. I primed the filter and put 6 quarts in and the ticking got way way worse although it does go away after about three miles. even when it is warm it ticks until it is driven a little bit. Should I switch back to Fram? As I said it always ticked a little bit when cold just not this much. Thank you in advance.
