Is it legal to have red lights on the front of a vehicle in your area?

No it isn’t. I’m a major KITT nerd so I had to do a red one at the time to get my fix. Definitely did not use it on the road. Just off road or on private property or at car shows.

If there was enough of a gap under my current Tahoe’s rear tailgate I would have kept it. It has multiple patterns to choose from. Next one I get for the front will be orange.

Here is the guy that makes them. Last half of the video shows all the patterns the controller can do. Which also has LED display so you can see what it is doing inside the vehicle. He can make any custom size and colors.

Ok so you just mounted it to that support piece behind the bumper. That seems reasonable. I got a shorter 20" bar so I'm hoping I can do that without removing everything.

Did you ever get this mounted and how did you do it? Trying to do the same on a 2011 Yukon, only options are to somehow mount it to the styrofoam or move it back a bit and mount it to the plastic behind it.

Yeah I ran some long screws into the Styrofoam. It felt pretty steady, and I figured the grill should protect it from impact that would knock it loose.

Finished mine finally, I mounted it behind the grill using concrete tapcon screws into the foam. The tapcons are thick and have lots of protrusions to grip better, that worked pretty good but I wanted it to hold better so I used some JB-Weld under the mounting bracket to further secure it to the foam. I then ran the wire to the battery, mounted the solenoid to the fender and ran the other wire across the back of the engine bay and through the door hinge and into the dash panel. I then drilled a hole in back of the empty spot and luckily the Nilight switch I bought fit perfectly snug in the opening.

Think mines a 20". Installed the switch in the small pocket next to the light switch. Made a couple brackets to bolt it to the core support/trans cooler mount
