light tails...

ok so recently I changed my taillights back to factory, changed them from the "custom" tails someone had put on before me, after being pulled over by cop in Flower Mound he told me that they were illegal, wasn't gonna argue, I was gonna change em anyway. Ok so apparently they changed the wiring to 1157 type bulbs, but its supposed to have 3157, just need to circuit board part (not a problem) my question is with completely stock tails with the 3157 bulbs whats the flashing, turn, brake light combo? Or are both bulbs flashing or on at the same time? Hope this makes sense, ive seen where some trucks have just the lower bulb flashing when the turn signals are on, some with both. Also whos got good leds?? I was trying to get some locally but nobody has what I want, I want all the normal colors (red/amber), but I don't want the colors to be different like ive heard about switchbacks, basically always red and always amber, Any help??

i have led rings around the bulbs(custom tails) and my rings and lower bulb flash with my blinker when lights are off and same when on its just the top brake bulb only comes on when lights are on just like normal lights. but i think its just the middle one thats the blinker cuz top it brake and of course lower is reverse.
