I'm seriously considering pulling the trigger on a Blackbear autocal today but would like to hear from members who've had one for awhile. And I can't find any members from California who've done it.

I've had my Black Bear tune for well over a year, and I'm as happy with it now as the day that I first installed it. During this period, I changed tire sizes, and I requested, received, and installed a tune update from Black Bear to re-synch the speedometer/odometer settings to the new tire size. That update took me all of 5 minutes to install.

I recognize that I have not had my Black Bear tune for a 'long' time, but I'm sure that other folks on this Forum with longer Black Bear tune time periods will chime in with their experiences and perspectives.

If I am cruising on a level highway, it is quiet. But, if I am going up a long and gradual gradient, it can drone, particularly if it downshifts. My wife really does not like it.

I would honestly advise anybody who is sensitive to drone, or wants little or no drone, not to purchase and install this specific exhaust system.

I, on the other hand, am living out some yesteryear experiences, and I have no problem with loud, or drone. If I'm in a drone situation, I simply turn up the volume of my audio system, and the drone goes away.

The Black Bear tune does not contribute to my truck's drone in any way, as the drone is fully attributed to the exhaust system.

got it on the 18 Silverado month or two ago, made a world of difference, I asked for and received a sport tune, They sent a 89 and a 92 tune also but I have only used the 89. It's a 5.3l L83 but it drives much like the L94 6.2l in the Denali now or at least it seems like it does. If I stomp on it she will go balls out now instead of sputtering between shifts if I am cruising on the highway and lay into the pedal she will downshift and just go and go until I let off the pedal, admittedly very few people drive like me, I am completely satisfied with the tune. no issue's at all and she will still get decent gas mileage if I gramma it.

*any drone wouldn't be from the Tune at least I don't think so, it sounded like crap in 4 cylinder mode anyway, no more of that
