I feel like the red one is a better deal. Has a few more options and looks really clean. A craigslist ad that doesn't offer plenty of photos from the start and lacks info usually is a red flag for me. But you did talk to them and said it seemed ok. '07 was the first year of this new body style and I know they had a couple little issues so I always prefer a couple years in on any vehicle. I would see how low they will go on the '09 and go from there. Let us know!

Well I went and test drove the red one today. Sales manager came back with a price of 21,500 for it. It sitting at 107k and the only thing I can tell that is wrong with it, is it has the notorious cracked dash on it. I drove it at night and in the rain so it was tough to look everything over and hope I didn't miss anything.

I received some background information on this vehicle from the sales manager when I was there. It seemed like he was being honest, at least I hope.

He said he his neighbors with the owners brother in law. It was a commercial vehicle for Ahern Inc here in Fon du Lac for its first few years, then the company ceo/president purchased it for personal use afterwards. It sounds like they are very meticulous with their vehicles.

He had an account set up from his work for unlimited car washes I was told and that it was very well taken care of. Like I stated just from what I could see only the dash being cracked is all I could see wrong with it. He said the guy is so **** about his stuff and cleanliness that you could literally eat off his garage floor. I laughed a little and he said I'm serious, we can even call him right now and ask him about it.

The truck has a box in the back with 2 pairs of brand new headphones for the DVD player along with the remote, never been used from the looks of it. I was also told they only ever used the third row 2x a year. Seats look like they were never sat in, although car fax shows that seat was either repaired or replaced recently.

Owners never had any kids and it was just the 2 of them most of the time. Rear compressor and suspension bags are in working condition, I will look more into it later.

I hope I'm not missing anything on it. He came back with a final out the door price of like 23,500 +/- a couple hundred. He had this information all written on a sheet of paper and wrote my next appointment date on it but never gave me a copy. I'm trying to remember from the top of my head. Taxes were around $1,100 and fees from dealer were about $380.

I would like to get him down to about 20,500 to keep my payments down.

What are your thoughts on this?

Well I have narrowed it down to 2 vehicles. I'm just unsure of which one to go after.

Top link is the same red vehicle. The lowest price the sales manager will go is $20,500 + tax's and fees. Looking at around $21900 out the door. Only issue on it from what I noticed at night is the cracked dash.

Bottom link is one I found earlier today real close to me. Its a 2009 with 120k. It is fully loaded. It has every single option available on it, which just means more stuff to break and fix lol
It seems like a very nice truck. It has tan interior in it though, not the biggest fan of it, unless it eventually grows on you? It has weather tech floormats and seems to be real clean. Seats are in really nice shape like they were hardly sat in besides the front ones. Has 2 sets of headphones and a remote control.

Couple of issues I noticed were when shifting from Park to Drive, or Reverse to Drive, or Drive to Reverse it made a clunking noise. any ideas?

Also when traveling at about 70 or 75 MPH it made a humming, whining noise up front it sounded like. It seemed to change tone/quite making the noise if you played with the throttle or let off the gas. I didn't notice it at lower speeds but wasn't really paying attention for it.

Also there was one last thing. When I first started it up and drove it, granted it was cold and might not have been started for quite some time, it made like a ticking/knocking sound. IT's hard to explain it correctly or the sound it made. It seemed to go away once it warmed up though.

Any signs that this vehicle is just going to cause me problems? I never saw a carfax on it but was told it had a clean title and no accidents.

Any other vehicle options to look out for? I just like the 6.2 so much though :)

The front end wine could be a bad tensioner. Mine did that for about a year. The bearing inside the pulley was bad so it would squeak whenever I'd drive. It was louder up over 65ish. Those are easy to replace and part is cheap if that's what's causing the noise. As much as I don't like black interior I like the red Denali better. Fewer miles is good. Price is not a bad deal for that amount of miles. It looks clean from the pictures. Looks like a nice truck.

Thoughts on how to go about getting the cracked dash fixed? It looks pretty bad

Not sure on that one. Not a problem ive encountered with my 2006. But I think I've seen some threads here about it. You might try searching that and see if that yields any fixes.
