Well that's so ridiculous. I would call the manager directly and talk to him. You cannot have sales people not selling cars and making the people never want to come back to your dealership because they want a vehicle on your lot. They either need to buy the vehicle beforehand or be fine with it selling. This type of crap dealerships don't take lightly. I would let them know.

I don't know if thats exactly true or not, it's just the feeling I got. She repeated stated how much she just loves that denali. How those XL's/Suburbans are her dream car. That she wished it was hers. Heard those few things quite a bit.

I'm trying to get price comparisons now from edmunds, nada and kbb using the XL's information and see what comes up. I'm trying all I can to make this XL happen as its a damn nice car but Ill be damned if I'm going to overpay on a car again.

I don't know, maybe it's just me because of my locality, but $25k for that Denali XL? I'd buy it YESTERDAY where I live. How much are you aiming for again? $21k?

Obviously the lower the better. We told the dealer if they would drop price to 23,000 we would take it, they wouldn't do it. So we were about 1,000 apart. Looking at trucks up to around 23k

$25k is still mighty fine for a truck with that mileage. I wish I could find something like that over here (DC metro area). Absolutely impossible.

Might have found a way to get the red xl Denali with 89k on it.

Just not sure if it's worth pursuing for the price they offered as from what I heard their a little high. Out the door price is 25k.

I found this one today.....

https://www.cargurus.com/Cars/inven...efined&filtersModified=true#listing=152478881

Also there's the black one left but has a possible buyer lined up. He's going to let me know.

Thoughts now?

That one looks great! Also has the same options and has the black interior which you wanted. If you want to save 3-4K and don't care about it having 19K more miles then I would go take it for a spin. It says it's been for sale for awhile also I would ask for a CarMax. It's showing 29 records on it so I'd be curious what they are. It's worth a shot.

I will call and inquire about it.

I have my pre-approval done already. I just need to find a vehicle that fits the budget and our needs/likes and go pick it up.

I just noticed the XL for 21,400 has been sitting for about 3 months now. Seems like an awful long time for a nice denali to be sitting. They usually sell within a couple weeks from what I noticed. Might be a red flag.

I'll have to ask for a copy of the carfax report and see what it looks like, then possibly take the 2 hour drive down to look at it.

I saw that as well. Sometimes things sit because the normal customer base for that dealership wouldn't buy a Denali. But it could be a red flag. Let us know what the CarMax says. Also it seemed like it was a little hard to find in the first place so that could be a reason as well. My brother bought a Ram 3500 that was at a dealership for 7 months because the local demographic didn't want a 1 ton Cummins. So far it's been an amazing truck and he scored a great deal.
