Hey guys,

I'm looking at getting a 2009 Tahoe police package from a dealer probably next week. I figured its time to get in to a bigger vehicle and time to say good bye to my BMW 335i coupe (especially since the warranty expires soon). The dealer wants $25k for the Tahoe with 21k miles. I was looking at offering them $22k since I see the 2013 for sale for $28k online. Do you think thats a reasonable offer or is it on the high side?

I dont even have the Tahoe yet and I am looking at mods to add to it. Hope to become one of you guys soon :rockit:

I would try to get a new one. Some of the stuff that happens in the back of a patrol vehicle is disgusting and can never be really disposed of

You will love it, and I doubt it was ever used for patrol with that low mileage. I picked up my 09 PPV for $18,000 with 71,000 miles. I'm pretty sure mine was used by someone in CID, because the only place I can find where lights were mounted is the back window and there was never a cage mounted in it.

Clean carfax, and the history looks like it was certainly taken care of. Not to mention a TX car.

I bought my SSV from another dealer in Chicago. My dealer was the above links competitor. For some reason the above link dealer is usually a few grand higher. However I have seen that they sometimes add carpet, center jump seat and a third row and charge more.

I had thought of selling mine and getting a 2wd PPV...but with this winter, putting more snow then usual on the ground I may have to keep it.

I'm in Atlanta, GA. I've seen a few of Asia motors listings on ebay before but was hoping to find a PPV with low miles.

I see you're former BP. Current CBP here :worthy:

Car Fax

Keep in mind most police agencies are self insured so a Clean Car Fax may not mean a clean car make sure you look around the car for over spray look for wrench marks on hardward etc...
