93+ was a 4L60E, 95 had the new dash with the TBI engine, 96 and after had the Vortec engine.

From wiki:
Beginning in 1994, GM began making numerous annual changes to the Blazer/Yukon, including:

Revised front clip - Blazer (1994)
Revised interior including a driver-side air bag, revised side mirrors, Blazer renamed Tahoe, 4-door option included (1995)
Revised Vortec "5700" (350 cu in) and "7400" (454 cu in) engines with increased power and fuel efficiency, electronic 4WD shifting, daytime running lights, illuminated entry, and some new interior features (1996)
Revised automatic transmission, improved steering system and added passenger-side air bag, Yukon 2-door option dropped (1997)
Programmable Homelink transmitter, PassLock security system, heated front seating surfaces optional, air conditioning for rear seat passengers, AutoTrac automatic 4WD option added, second generation air bags, transmissions revised again (1998)
Revised steering wheel and improved radiators and transmissions, Tahoe 2-door option dropped (1999)

Well the 94 like mine has the same dash as the 93, but the newer grill and lower grille. in 95s the dash is the newer style but the engine is the same as in the 94 and 93. Then 96 comes with the new grille and a new motor, the vortec motor. then it is pretty much all the same up to 99

Running driving I'd pick a 96 up and get the vortech. Project vehicle I'd pick a 95 usually cheaper but has the new interior.

94 still has the old grille and the 700r4... They changed in 95 to the new dash and 4l60 and in 96 the vortec came out

Ment dash not grille. It has the new curved grille

Imo the 92-94 are better considering that mine is a tank and can tow anything i stick on the hitch. The interior looks better aswell and damn the seats are comfy:)

That doesn't mean it's not a 4L60E. :jester:

And for the last time your pre 95 POS isn't a tank, you've just never been in a real truck so you have no comparison.

A tank is a Hummer H1. I'm sorry but your truck is not a tank... Its more like a box with wheels.
