im looking for a complete 2 way remote start for my 05 tahoe. i have a 2 way remote start on my truck that i purchased 2 years ago from a site called auto alarm pro. what they did was take the vehicle information, and get a kit together, pre wire it, and add on any extra modules that you would need for a install. well i tried that website, and i guess they went belly up. so now im on my own for finding a complete 2 way kit for my truck. i want the 2 way feature as it will send signal back to my remote to let me know if or when my truck starts. which would be nice as my parking lot at work is huge, and my tahoe isnt always visible from the building doors.
so can anyone point me in the area of where to look? i want to keep it under $250. the lower the better.

I have the compustar drone system on my 03 Ram and I love it. The two way remotes are optional and I don't need it because I can control the system with my cell phone so I have the basic one button remote that came with it. I brought it last year around this time from Best Buy for around $150-$200 installed. There is a annual fee but to me it's completely worth it, I recently renewed my subscription and I paid $99 for three years.

The 3 Scytek RS5000's I've used in the past and one currently on the Yukon are all going on 7+ years and are super affordable

I have an Autopage 2 way alarm/remote start that been on my Suburban since a month after I bought the truck in early 2006. Its served me very well all these years, but its time to upgrade because its so old now that I can no longer get replacement remotes for it. My wife knocked my keys off the end of the counter top one day and guess where they landed? Smack dab in the dogs water bowl!! Needless to say, that remote is toast. It actually worked for another month or so but then it finally crapped out. I have a brand new Viper 2way remote start/alarm sitting in my front closet that been in their for over a year now. I bought it in April 2015, but then that's when my back went downhill FAST and I had a major spinal surgery in May 2015. I've been recovering ever since then, and doing physical therapy and all... But I still never did get around to installing it. Hell by the time I install it, there might be a newer version out. Maybe there already is! LOL.
Its hell on your back to be twisting and bending to reach up under the dash, that's why I've been avoiding it. And the way I installed that damn Autopage, I know it won't be easy to remove it. I took the whole outer dashboard off to run the wiring and securely mount the brain completely hidden. Most installer just zip tie it above the brake pedal somewhere, but not me. If a crook tries to steal my truck, I'm gonna make his ass put in some work to try and disarm MY alarm system.

As cool as a mobile app remote starter sounds, I'm having a hard time coming to terms of having to pay a subscription fee for it. I tend to hold on to my vehicles for a long time, so that doesn't sound feasible for me.
On another note I did more looking and found another website that sells the complete 2 way remote starter, like the one I already have. So I'm probably just gonna go back to that one
