Hey guys I have a '10 LTZ in black....It came with 20" rims (5spoke chrome) I bought it new. I want everything chrome to be black. I already took the grille off and cleaned it and painted a few coats with rustoleum flat black and it came out great... I want to either have the rims powdercoated black or purchase new ones....I like something like the 5 spoke it has on, basically I dont want any low profile tires,

Can someone recommend a few websites where I can look at rims? I saw the stock ones in black for $190 a piece im thinking this might be better.

Should I paint the mirror caps gloss or flat black? I wish they were cheap I would just buy two black ones or trade with someone else...I have chrome handles and trim along the doors that im going to have to replace or paint not sure what to do:chicken:

Just go to Tirerack.com or cheaper discounttiredirect.com

Keep in mind some of their selection sucks.

This place is kinda cool.

Realize that black 20s on pretty much anything the size of a Tahoe seem small and generally not recommended unless they are at least 22s.

So painting your LTZ 20s black may them look as effective as 18s.

2.... Gloss black........source black handles, I am sure someone here may trade you from here for your chromies

Thanks for the reply...I dont mind if they look an inch or two smaller I just want everything black....

to the guy who PM'd me I cannot send PM's yet i guess becuase im new but he had a question about painting the grille

I first took off the bowtie then i pulled the other pieces out...was a ***** i broke a couple of the tabs...u have to unscrew a couple plastic pieces under the hood near headlights to get access to it..just take your time i think i ended up with like 6 pieces plus one more for the bowtie...there are brackets that hold the outer molding in and the grille part too...I used a scrub brush with soap and water and cleaned it really good...I used Rustoleum 2x coverage in flat black...they sell it in home depot for like $4...I used an entire can...just do a light coat and wait an hour and do another...should take about 3 or 4...it was really easy to put it back in though once u get the bracket/housing that holds it in everything snapped in..I used 2 part plastic epoxy to glue the bowtie back on that kinda sucked because it oozed out the sides so u have to wipte it with a wet rag quick or the gloss will look like shit on the flat...u could do the bowtie in gloss i might do mine that way good luck
