Hello Everybody,

Im looking at a Denali but need some input. It has about 171k on it and a new jasper transmission. They also recently replaced the fuel pump and fuel filter.

The exterior is in great shape, but does have some issues. They say the cd player and aftermarket dvd player are not working. They are asking 7500 for it.

Would this be a good deal? What kind of concerns should i be looking for with that high of mileage? Could this still be a daily driver in 7 years? thanks

When I bought my 03 Denali I didn't notice a couple things until after I had brought it home for a few days.

One thing was a slight hum in the front end when coming to a stop which I though was a bad wheel bearing at first. When I took it into the dealer to have it looked at, they called and told me the front diff was pooched and was about to let go. They also said that the rear main seal was leaking.

That was an expensive bill, but hey when kids are on the line its no object.

Oh and mine had 136k on it, As for the price.. it sounds reasonable for my area.

I bought my 03 yukon denali this year in February. And like Vigh_j said, you will notice more things a few days after you bring it home. The main things I would recommend you look at first are these:
Oil leaks. Check the oil pan, if it has signs a leak, it will most likely be the rear main seal. (Didn't notice it until a day after when I looked for where the oil drops were coming from that we're on my garage floor) check the oil , make sure it's clean and has no particles in it. Same for the "new transmission" -check the fluid. Make sure it's not burnt.

Im having no luck finding a list to tell me the differences. I need your guys input. Im torn because i wanted second row captain chairs.

Im now torn between 2 vehicle...

2002 Denali Yukon - 133k mileage, Great condition exterior and interior. Radio is after marker sony cd player(does not working with factory cd changer) No DVD player. Second row seat is a bench. No CEL issues.

or

2004 Denali Yukon - 148k mileage, Great condition exterior and interior. But has a check engine light, 22 inch rims that need tires soon(Would rather have oems). Driver seat does not move forward or back. Has an aftermarket DVD player.

Both are going for $8500. Im told 03+ is better, what do you guys think?

03+ is better, but not with all these issues. (at least IMO).

Keep on shopping around, there are plenty of them out there.

I have a 2003 Yukon XL Denali and These babies will run forever/ Plus I changed my 6 disc changer for a radio so my 6disc changer is 1 year old practically brand new and if you need one I can sell it for $45 dollars and I know you cant get one for under $140. So if you would like it just PM me and get it for cheap. Just trying to help. Take Care.
