Your intake gasket might be bad if its chugging water and has the brownish on the radiator cap and nasty overflow tank

Ok, tgis is interesting

1- Why you think it is the intake gasket?

2- regarding the brownish:
Yes I got the brownish before but I did a complete engine flush (three times using flushing oil and once using a big blue machine) and replaced the radiator so I stopped getting that brown color but I found it coming from one of the heater hoses like if some was stuck there.

3- the things is I am not getting any over flow it is the other way around I am losing water that's why I did the inspection alot until I found it from the heater lower hose was broken!

It is possible that the previous owner replaced the gaskets with the factory style ones and they have gone bad again. The updated gasket is the Fel-Pro MS98000T.

Are you using dexcool? It looks like you are using just straight water. I ask because you can check for burnt dexcool on the inside of the oil filler cap.

Usually when the intake gaskets are leaking it will leaking down the back of the engine block and drip on the starter.

I would take this leak seriously, water leaked into the oil is not a good thing. It will ruin the engine bearings and may require a rebuild which I'd imagine isn't cheap where you are for a chevy. Keep an eye out for water in the oil and on the dipstick.

I did mine about a year ago. I wasn't that hard and only took 2 days. No special tools needed accept some torx screwdrivers, gasket scrapers, and cleaner for the gasket surfaces. I didn't open up the intake and replace the upper intake like some people do. Mine wasn't leaking on the top, so I left that part alone. I just lifted the whole intake off and replace the leaking lower gaskets.

Here is a nice link to check out:

Thank you the great amount of helpful info.

And the part number, I will inspect it again today for leaks and report back to you.

I am using tap water because I don't want to lose more money on coolant water until I make sure the system is in good shape but it is hard to look for leaks with the indications by the colored coolant water (I learned tgis the hard way)
