The "Low Coolant" message just popped up on my dash. Drove 3 hours yesterday and and it popped up today while I was in slow trafic. It is about 80 out today. Checked the tank and its not low at all. My temp gauge is good but I can hear the fan going very strong. Also hear gurgling up front. SHould I get it flushed and changed again? I changed it not too long ago, maybe 20-30K ago. I will be driving alot the next few days and dont want to get screwed over. Thanks guys!

If everything looks fine, feels, and temp seems normal. Then, you could just have a faulty "Coolant level sensor". Not a big deal.:smoke2:

A while back it was a bit low, maybe half an inch below the line but I guess it varies when its hot or cold out. It is off now. Would having the AC on make it heat up? My fan has been going non stop too when the ac is on

Look for an additive online that shows up in blacklight, then get out your black light and watch your coolant levels :)

Sometimes when I park on the grade of a hill when I start my truck the low coolant light comes on. When I restart the truck it goes off.

Will have to check it out! Sounds kinda cool

I noticed this too, especially when I am off road hunting or camping and everything is sloshing around.

I think my next investment is going to be e-fans too. Mine were going all day today in 90* heat with the ac on.

I've got that same problem with my 01 tahoe. The coolant light has been coming on the past couple days....I thought it could be cause its been in the 90s and my A/C is blasting but I'm not sure. I haven't had time to check the coolant level yet. It was fine in the winter though...never came on..

I had that problem at the end of summer last year, never really looked too low but I would put some coolant in and in a week or so later the message would come on, never really noticed any coolant on the ground either and then it happened, the water pump started leaking out the the bottom weeps and then I noticed the coolant on the ground! Check the underside of the water pump, there will be a couple weep holes on the underside of the pump and see if it is wet there and possibly leaking!! Gotta get under the truck to see it!!
