So today when I was pulling into my driveway “Low Coolant” displayed on the driver message center. I checked it a little later and there seemed to be coolant still in the tank. The engine temp was also normal. The light has not come back on since earlier today. Has anybody had experience with this? Bad sensor maybe? Any help is much appreciated!

Check the heater core attachments on the firewall on passenger side.

Well I didn’t see anything out of the ordinary there. The light hasn’t popped back up on the message center since, so I’m just going to guess it’s a faulty sensor. Maybe it got confused since it’s been getting cold outside and it’s old.

if you park on a incline and if the coolant is just low enough it can trigger the sensor, I would keep a keen eye on the level, some leaks can start out very slow, if it continues to happen examine your radiator closely including under the very bottom, coolant hose's and water pump. coolant will flow down with gravity so the first place your normally going to spot any leak is from underneath. you can also place a piece of cardboard under the engine area and inspect it in the morning this will help to locate leaks.
