Low idle

Has this ever happened to anyone? Every time I disconnect and reconnect my battery to do something to my 01' Tahoe my truck barely wants to start and when it does I have to gas it to keep it on. It eventually goes away after 20 minutes or so or after driving it for awhile. Battery shows 100% charge on tester..any idea's?

You reset the computer by disconnecting the battery. So it has to relearn settings.

I had a dirty throttle body do that i cleaned it and has always idled perfect sense, because my 02 always idles just fine after i rehook my battery

Ah okay, It was just starting to bug me because none of my other vehicles ever did that. Good to know though thanks guys

Yeah it sounds like what the guys have said above. Although its wierd that it would want to die at startup.

I would clean the throttle body, though. It's usual to run rough, but dying is a bit extreme. And cleaning the TB is good occasionally, anyway, even if it's not the problem.
