Has this ever happened to anybody before? I got under the Tahoe today to find that the nut had fallen off of the front passenger lower control arm bolt! I did have it in a shop (unsupervised) about 2 months ago. I'm gonna get new hardware tomorrow, but this scares me.

Those nuts should also have washers. Make sure all the washers are on the other bolts. They should be torqued to 129 ft lbs. If they were just zapped on after a previous repair with a weak impact wrench, that's probably why they fell off. For good measure I like to put a bit of blue loctite on suspension bolts. It's strong but not too strong. GM loves their yellow loctite from the factory. I like my stuff to stay on but dont want to heat it up to get it off.

They were installed with washers & torqued to 107 ft. lb by me. After that I went directly to alignment shop. Alignment shop claims "Not me!". I can't see how that could happen. GM service manual says 107 ft. lb, btw. It has to be the alignment shop...
