Ok, the lean is driving me nuts after installing the Belltech 2/3 kit with front spindles and rear coils!

I'll double check the measurements tomorrow but if I remember correctly it was .75" to 1" higher on the passenger front vs the driver's front.

How can I get it down around an inch? Is Tony's strut mod the best way to go? Any issues doing just one side?

Raise it to level it out.

Good idea.

From my Walkie Talkie

You'll never really be able to lower it to level. Same in the rear. You can use the spring spacer to do it. The hard plastic spacers can actually be cut (sawed) to a specific length to get rid of the lean.

The problem is you will lean more with a full tank of gas than an empty tank of gas. I got my truck close and just left it. Most vehicles will be 1/4" difference on one side or the other.

I was going to mention the spacer as posted in the ebay link (thanks for the link btw). I need to do this on my suburban as I'm exactly 1/2 inch higher on the passenger front... and I can feel it in the wheel when driving. I got the rear balanced out so happy there. Now just going to pick up those spacers that were referenced and should be all set.

Yeah, I just really don't want to raise the driver's side. I think it sits perfect front and rear on the driver's side.

If that's the case, the only thing you can try is Tony's write up.

Nice looking Esky btw!!!

On my truck i have my pass side set lower to make up for the lean. My truck sits even in front.

Now lets say your rear is off ie driver side rear is 1 inch lower than passengers side rear that will throw it off also.

remember if you drop the pass side front driver rear will come up a little also.

Have you got your truck aligned yet?
What does it sit from ground to fenderlip all around?

NOTE: MAKE SURE YOU DO NOT LET THE AUTORIDE SHAFT SPIN WHEN TAKING THE NUT OFF OR ELSE WILL BREAK IT AND YOUR OUT $$$$. I MADE A TOOL UP BEEN USING IT FOR YEARS TO PREVENT THIS FROM HAPPENING.

Tony, you happen to have a pic of the tool you made?

On another note regarding the lean. I mentioned in another thread that I put in the spacer on the drivers rear and left it out on the passenger rear and set the autoride links to 2.75ish and it got it pretty damn close to level removing the 'chevy lean'. One other thing that really helped me can a few more precious 1/4 inch or so was to loosen the bushings on the rear and drive slowly around my neighborhood to let the bushings settle or technically speaking 'timing the bushings'. If you lower and don't loosen the rear trailing arm bushings it will actually cause them to be twisted since they were set originally at a different height and can cause the truck to not settle 100% or properly. After the easy drive get it back on level ground or on an alignment rack and torque down the bolts. This will ensue there is no bushing binding. I know you might think I'm crazy but it did make it sit a slight bit more level from driver to passenger side. If you didn't do this... go do it and then take measurements. :boti:
