lowering a z71

hi guys

im new here, i think you can help me with this

i have a 2005 z71 tahoe that i want to lower a little
i think i will be goin with eibach kit number 3887.530

i think this kit comes with springs only
so is it ok? or do i have to change the shocks?

sorry but im noob with suspension stuff!

I am looking to lower my Z71 as well.
Tony from norcalss will chime in to let you know of the perfect kit for you..

omar the kit has springs only if your using the stock heavy duty shocks you should get different shocks or extenders.iI used the eibach 3887.520 set with beltech extenders and different shocks.it was 3inch drop.

strange that they didnt mention that you need a new shocks
so no way to leave the stock shocks?
and if so what kind of shocks you guys recommend?

i went to Bilstein site and i fount the shocks but i cant find anything to tell that they are for lowered applications
can you u give the exact part number that goes with eibach kit (3")
and do i have to get both rear and front shocks?

i still want to mentain some off road abilities
so i want a z71 stiff like shocks

your going to go off road with a lowered truck/ you might as well just take a car.
you do know you will loose a lot of ground clearance when you drop it right..
if you want off road abilities go up not down.. do a 3" keys with 1 1/2 or 2" rear spacers...

i mean a little off road i didnt say rocks climbing!
and im not just talkin about off road. i meant stiff shocks
